The World Organic Beer Contest
> Who Are We?
Organised by Sudvinbio, an interprofessional association uniting organic wine producers and marketers from the Occitanie region, The World Contest for Organic Wines and Beers is the official competition of the Millésime BIO trade fair. It is also the largest global competition dedicated to organic wines and beers.
Founded to celebrate and reward brewers and winemakers who prioritise high-quality organic ingredients and embrace sustainable practices, the contest draws participants from around the world each year.

In early January 2025, the 18th edition of the The World Contest for Organic Wines and Beers, also known as the Challenge Millésime BIO, will be held. Since its inception in 2007, this prestigious event has grown to feature over 2,000 organic wines from all corners of the globe.
In the past three years, the competition has expanded to include international organic beers, featuring 150 organic beer entries in 2024!

Our beer competition is led by Elisabeth Pierre, a renowned figure in the world of beer. As a recognised expert, author, professional trainer in zythology, speaker, international beer competition judge, and founder of the Bierissima circle, Elisabeth plays a pivotal role in shaping and guiding the competition.
The World Contest for Organic Beers benefits from her exceptional expertise, ensuring excellence throughout the event. Every aspect of the competition is meticulously handled:
- Sample Evaluation: Beers are judged using a rigorous tasting grid, ensuring a precise and objective assessment of quality.
- Category Creation: Categories are thoughtfully crafted to reflect the wide variety of organic beer styles, giving brewers the opportunity to present their creations in the most suitable context.
- Jury Recruitment: An international panel of experts is carefully selected for their knowledge and impartiality, guaranteeing a balanced and professional evaluation process.
> Our Medal
Since 2024, the The World Contest for Organic Beers has introduced exciting updates! The medal designs have been fully revamped, including a special edition medal for organic beers. This year’s medals also feature an international touch, with an English version to reflect the global reach of the event. These innovations underscore our dedication to recognising and celebrating excellence in organic beer on an international stage
