The largest international organic wine competition

Created and managed by Sudvinbio, an inter-professional association bringing together producers and marketers of the Occitania organic wine sector, the Challenge Millésime Bio competition, the official competition of the Millésime Bio exhibition, is the largest international organic wine competition.

Created in 2007, it now has more than 1600 organic wines produced all over the world. Every year, more and more organic producers from France and abroad register to participate in the world's largest organic wine tasting.

In 2020, the competition had 1612 wines tasted from 13 countries.

Each year, the competition is presided over by a personality who is convinced and who promotes the values of organic farming. They are true spokespersons for the Challenge Millesime Bio competition and its medalists.

In 2019, Philippe Faure Brac, the world's best sommelier in 1992 and President of the Union de la Sommellerie Française, did us the honour of chairing the competition. For this 2020 edition, it is the double starred chef Jean Luc Rabanel who succeeded him. This defender of vegetable cuisine, inventor of Greenstronomy, honours food and wine pairings in his restaurant in Arles: L'Atelier.

At its side, a jury of professional tasters, coming from all horizons of the wine industry (oenologists, sommeliers, cellarmen, technicians, journalists...), is selected each year to reward the best wines presented at the tasting.

In 2019, 382 jurors awarded 484 medals out of 1611 wines tasted. For this 2020 edition, more than 450 tasters awarded the 479 medals among the 1612 wines presented.
