The largest international organic wine competition

Created and managed by Sudvinbio, an inter-professional association bringing together producers and marketers of the Occitania organic wine sector, the Challenge Millésime Bio competition, the official competition of the Millésime Bio exhibition, is the largest international organic wine competition.

Created in 2007, it now has more than 1600 organic wines produced all over the world. Every year, more and more organic producers from France and abroad register to participate in the world's largest organic wine tasting.

In 2020, the competition had 1612 wines tasted from 13 countries.

Each year, the competition is presided over by a convinced personality who conveys the values of organic agriculture. They are the true spokespersons of the Challenge Millésime Bio competition and its medallists.

For this 2021 edition, Andrew Jefford, a world-renowned journalist in the wine world, will do us the honor of being the president. Writer specialized in wine, his writings have been read in many British newspapers, including the Evening Standard, The Times and The Guardian. A six-time winner of the Louis Roederer International Wine Writers' Awards, Andrew Jefford is also the author of several books, most of which are devoted to wine and spirits. Today, he is Deputy Editor-in-Chief and regular columnist for the leading international monthly Decanter, and has established himself as one of the most respected voices in the wine world.

Alongside him, a jury of professional tasters from all areas of the wine industry (oenologists, sommeliers, wine merchants, technicians, journalists, etc.) is selected each year to reward the best wines presented for tasting.

As a reminder, in 2019, chaired by Philippe Faure Brac, the world's best sommelier in 1992 and president of the Union de la Sommellerie Française, 382 jurors awarded 484 medals out of the 1,611 wines tasted. In 2020, the double starred chef Jean Luc Rabanel succeeded him as president. This edition brought together more than 420 tasters who awarded 479 medals out of the 1612 wines presented.
